Our favorite type of news to share is successes in sustainability. We are proud to announce a major milestone in our commitment to creating more sustainable products.
FIBCs made of recycled material
We have developed a new type of FIBC that is made of 30% recycled material, making it one of the most environmentally-friendly options on the market.
The outer bag of the FIBC is partially made from recycled polypropylene (RPP), a thermoplastic polymer that is widely used in many different applications.
Despite being made of recycled material, these bags remain just as strong and safe as the traditional ones. This is a testament to our commitment to producing high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.
The challenges and certification
While there is currently no food safety certification for these bags, the market is actively working on obtaining it.
The challenge with RPP is its limited availability, but we are committed to finding sustainable solutions for its customers and we are exploring alternative materials that meet our high standards for strength and safety.
Sustainability at the similar price
In the meantime, test orders will be available starting in April 2023, and the bags will be sold at a similar price as the regular FIBCs (non-liner).
Reach out to be one of the first to get these new bags
By using partially recycled materials, We are able to reduce the amount of virgin material used in production, which ultimately reduces virgin materials/less plastic materials in the market. This is an important step in making sustainable products accessible to everyone.
One step in our sustainability journey
As a company, we are dedicated to sustainability and reducing our impact on the environment. The development of these new FIBCs is just one of the initiatives we are working on to create a more sustainable future.
